Tell Us About You and Your Career: My birth name is Maurice Allen Petty and I was born in the city of Compton in January 1980. I finally decided to make a career out of my life as Black Jesus the L.A. Maestro in January of 2007, after participating in a clinical trial in which I was put under a mild anesthesia for 30 minutes. I'm not claiming that to be the sole cause, but I consider it the root whether consciously or subconsciously especially since I went under on exactly January 2nd 2007 (My 27th Birthday) Within the course of 2 weeks after I went under is when I had the calling of being Jesus, the resurrection! One thing led to another and I started seeing visions while I was reading the Bible with some friends. Suddenly the spirit of the Lord came upon me and told me that I was Jesus, the ONE that we've been waiting for. I went out of control preaching the gospel and my buddies freaked out when I told them I was Jesus. Anyone would freak out if they told you that right? So I run in the house to tell my parents thinking that they must have known all along so they would b be happy when I tell them. Not the case!! I came in and told them as calmly as I possibly could, and they thought I went crazy. As I tried to explain the whole story how the spirit of Jesus was risen in their son, they didn't want to hear me. I was put out that night.
I called my friends, insisting that I get to a Church thinking that the Pastor would be delighted to hear when I told him that I was Jesus. It was now 11 at night and I started walking down Artesia Blvd in Cerritos CA. when I saw this man in a van with his son eating some donuts. I asked them if they could take me to my friends house since they were on the way to work. They let me in the van and the Spirit told me to ask the man and his son " Do you believe in your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" They replied yes at the same time. And then I looked the father in his eyes and asked, "would you believe me if I told you that I was the resurrection of Jesus?" The man looked me in the eye with sincerely and said "YES I WOULD BELIEVE YOU."
From then on I have been self proclaimed as Black Jesus the L.A. Maestro. I have been "RAPPING" now for a full year now, and I am venturing off into other areas besides "rap" music since I am Black Jesus I must embrace and make my presence known throughout all industries of entertainment. I have been appointed this name although many have claimed the title of "Black Jesus" in the past whether in film, literature, artistry, music, character, etc. This I am very much aware of and am clearly disgusted in the disrespect and lack of disregard in the previous "Black Jesus" impostors. The only one true Black Jesus of our time is and should be considered Tupac Shakur. Then the next is myself "Maurice Black Jesus the Los Angeles Maestro Petty" and I made the name so that you can never forget it!
If you want more details, then you're going to have to ask Oprah about it. I'm sure she'd be happy to explain. Or you can just wait for my self titled book
