Tell Us About You and Your Career: Jason J-stacks Jones, Born and raised in
Milwaukee, WI, but spent time in New York
and Chicago as a kid. I first started raping
when I went to prison in 2000, 2002 I was
going by the rap name JV then. I would put
really bad out of control chorus and songs
together, the beat and everything was off.
I would write raps all day come out and
let the prison here me, some people would
bob they head and say its ok, some would
say its weak. So I kept writing and got
better. Then it happen, I met Marice
Harold in jail and so be it he likes raping
but not his first love like it was turning
in to mine. So we stared talking about rap,
and we got cool. He started teaching me about
punch lines and winging metaphors, together
and switching flows. I was so happy every day I
did a song, Cause I new I was getting better I could
c it and here it, the percent went to10%of the people likening my raps to85% of the people like my raps. A guy name Sharmone Malone I met in the joint we became cool over time. He used to be my prison A&R telling me what’s hot and what’s not. This guy was let me say a real moneyman that’s why he’s not here today, he wasn’t a kiss ass type of friend he was a straight to the point dude, that’s why when he told me I was nice but with practice I could blow the rap game away. So I stared battling cats in the prison talent, show quickly making a name for my self as I brushed my opponents a side like yesterdays trash, Chinese, Mexicans, whites, blacks, I didn’t care if they wanted to battle, I was gone to destroy them. I won best battle rapper in dodge correction and Racine correction instuition 06 through 07 prisons id number 376049 even a couple guards got autographs from me, before I left. I got better and better and as I was leaving prison, I had my sight set on pursuing my rap career. A close friend of mine was telling me to think about a rap name that stand out cause the old one was done, think of one that the people could say and feel good saying it, so we thought, and he came up with j- stacks cause its cool, people will like saying it, cause it says money, who says money is not cool? So I thought about it and apon my release I told every one I would leave Jv in prison and get out j-stacks, the new me was reborn, I found motivation from the late great rappers 2-pac plus biggie, I all so find influence from jay-z and 50 cent. There music has so much energy and influence on people that its life changing. So I got out and started raping, doing local talent and rap shows working with different producers, I done recorded music in a basement, a attic, in a garage, doing rap. That’s when I learned this music would take u to strange places to achieve greatness. I think its 4 things that make a successful rap star, 1 its quality material, 2 it’s your performance 3 it’s your personality 4 it’s your appearance. I have been loving rap music since I first herd n.w.a Dj quick, ice cube, 2-pac, plus biggie, and a couple other groups. I love performing, and writing, new music, and working on new projects with different artist. I humble but at the same time impatiently waiting to let the world hear what kind of music I have to offer. I am blessed to be with Mr. Hollywood at Tri E.n.t there’s no place for me to be creativity, there’s no pressure, we can go in any direction creativity to do a song and get respect and thumbs up from our ceo Mr. Hollywood. This is my dream to be the best rapper, entertainer, ceo, businessman that ever did it in the rap game. I know it don’t come over night, but with discipline, dedication, and high standers and hard work, I mean real hard work, and big dreams the sky’s the limit for me, and my tri ent family.
