I’m the product of New York City public schools—I went to HEAD START PRE SCHOOL,PS 35[the nathaniel woodhull school], attended INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL school IS 238[SUSAN B ANTHONY] and JAMAICA High School[GOTHIC DRIVE HILLSIDE AVE ACROSS THE STREET FROM ST JOHNS UNIV], I THEN ATTENDED AND graduated SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY[THE FIRST MALE IN MY FAMILIES HISTORY] THEN BRIEFLY QUEENSBOROUGH COMMUNITY COLLEGE...
DEVON MALIK SCOTT aka “IHNDUST3” was born on the uprise of the hip-hop explosion in HOLLIS QUEENS. WAS A BABY BRAUGHT TO ALL THE HAGGARTY PARK JAMS OF "RUN DMC ","BLACK ROCK AND RON", MELLE MEL[OF THE FURIOUS 5 RAP GROUP] BY HIS MOTHER AN ORIGINAL BRONX B GIRL....SHE USE TO ALWAYS SAY "BABY YOU GONNA BE THE NEXT EMCEE SUPASTAR OF RAP" TO ME; ER'TIME WE WATCHED THOSE HIP HOP LEGENDS; LIVE ON THE SET...Like many young African-American/MIXED RACE men, IHNDUST3 was raised in a single parent home AS OF the age of 4 AND 1/2 when his FATHER passed away from UNKNOWN STREET CIRCUMSTANCES.... The QUEENSBRIDGE native then STAYED IN HOLLIS QUEENS WITH HIS MOM AND HIS AUNTIES ,"TT" CATHERINE, COLLETTE, AND SHERRY RAISING HIM AS THERE OWN, in the WOODHULL GARDENS CASTLE projects in HOLLIS QUEENS.AS A YOUNG B-BOY IHNDUST3 BECAME THE CULTURE OF HIP HOP CREATING GRAFFITTI,POPPIN LOCKING BREAKING ,FREESTYLE CYPHA'S WITH FUTURE STARS JEFF JA RULE ATKINS AND BLACK CHILD OF MURDA I.N.C . He then became heavily involved in the streets hustling IN UPSTATE NEW YORK trying to provide for his CAREER. By the time IHNDUST3 reached INTERMEDIATE school he joined the BLACK MAGIC DOJO[NOW KNOWN AS BLACK MAGIC WAY OF THE FIST KARATE ACADEMY] A KARATE SCHOOL OWNED THEN BY SENSEI RICHARD"SPEEDY"BRINSLEY LEACOCK;with hopes of staying out of trouble. It was soon discovered that he could pursue MARTIAL ARTS as a career after displaying his talent IN TOURNAMENT FIGHTING COUNTRY WIDE...quickly became a MARTIAL ARTS phenom,BECOMING THE EMPIRE STATE CHAMPION AND 3 TIME STATE OF MARYLAND BATTLE OF BALTIMORE MARTIAL ARTS KATA CHAMPION..... KARATE was not IHNDUST3'S only hobby music was something he worked on secretly throughout junior high, high school and college.
