Tell Us About You and Your Career: The Movement Bio

The Movement was formed in 2007.We all meet up in the United States Army. We got together one day and start rapping, and thought it would be a great idea to come together. Before all that, Jelowso from Shrevport, LA , already had a solo career dropping 1 mixtape called “Grinding 4 tha Green” and working with Country Boyz ENT. General From Shiloh, GA was just battling rappers all over Atlanta destroying all challengers. Rock from Warren, OH was just ghost writing for local artist and freestyling at local area function. Stacks from Dillon, SC was working with a group call C.E.O, also working on his solo mixtape called “Money Talks”. After we got together and talk business, we came up with the name “The Movement” because we came together from different places to form into one group, and move our music all over the world. We had to bring our music to a stop on September 27, 2007 due to deploying to Iraq. While in Iraq, we built a fan base, by working digital on the internet and meeting other people that was over there already. We came back in the states on November 14, 2008, and currently working on our first album. We drop two singles called “I want to Ride and “ If you From the Hood”. We project the album will be out in March. We are currently doing shows all over the USA , while still working in the US Army. We will be in the SEA Award showcase on March 21, 2009. We are still currently unsigned artist, moving independently with little resources. We are very dedicated and motivated at what we do. Its ‘The Movement”!!
