Singer/Songwriter Doug Hawco Is Sailing Smooth In the Feedback And Success of His Latest Album Release "Life on the Water."

Singer/Songwriter Doug Hawco knew at a young age his calling was music. Always focused on that prize he lived his life learning instruments and the ins and outs of songwriting and performance. This indie artist was actually raised in a musical family. His Father and many of his siblings were entertainers. With much of his influence coming from the likes of Garth Brooks, U2 and even Great Big Sea, it was obvious he was going to be a fusion of the genres and something special for the listeners.

Doug recently released his second full length album "Life on the Water," and the feedback has been outstanding. All ready being called "the next big thing" and "a superstar on the rise," a humbled Doug Hawco is just happy to have so many people relating to his music and emotion.

And why shouldn't they. Doug pours his all into his music. He bases it on his personal feelings and experiences which gives it a genuine feel of reality. From high moments to low, Doug seems to write about it and create beautiful musical art along the way.

"Life on the Water" is a 7 song project with something hugely different, packaged small in the beginning of each song. The title track "Life on the Water" starts the album and gives you a taste of the professionalism of this artist. He even included a song dedicated to his home Newfoundland, Canada titled simply "Newfoundland." One of my personal favorites is "Leaving Home." Now the great thing about music is everyone gets their own perception. but in my own, I felt he was touching on the fearlessness and excitement we all feel when we get out on our own. To feel ready to take on all the world has to offer. Never forgetting where we come from while laying our own path in the world.
