Welcome to the Home of Super Stars (Past, Present & Future)
In the bustling streets of Long Beach, a rare and one-of-a-kind artist emerged, ready to make his mark on the world of music. Meet Sam Anderson, better known by his stage name, 23 Mula. Hailing from Long Beach but with roots in the Antelope Valley, 23 Mula is not just an artist; he's an entertainer, a community advocate, and a passionate advocate for his people. We had the privilege to sit down with him and dive into his journey in the world of music, a genre he has aptly named "Thug Talk."
"I'm more than an artist; I'm a storyteller," says 23 Mula. His music, known as "Thug Talk," is a raw and unfiltered expression of his experiences and the realities of his community. "For a minute, I didn't know my place. I didn't know who I was. Once I found myself, I knew I was undeniable."
23 Mula's motivation is clear: "Leaving my kids a legacy." His commitment to his family's future is the driving force behind his artistic journey. It's about more than just the music; it's about creating a lasting impact.
His path to music was unconventional, starting with poetry. Unfortunately, life took unexpected turns, leading to incarceration. It was during this challenging period that he honed his craft, using his experiences to fuel his lyrical creativity.
One of 23 Mula's proudest achievements is his presence among renowned artists and amassing nearly 100,000 streams on Spotify. However, he acknowledges the need for exposure and the importance of connecting with the right people to propel him to the next level. Under the umbrella and management of one of the west coast most underrated shining stars Monsta Yo, 23 Mula is stepping to a plate with the bar already set high.
"To me, success is accomplishing any goal you set out," 23 Mula declares. His definition of success is rooted in the idea of relentlessly pursuing and achieving one's aspirations.
As we wrap up our conversation with 23 Mula, it's evident that he is not just an artist but a visionary determined to make a difference. With Thug Talk as his language, he's crafting a legacy that extends far beyond the stage. #FREEMONSTAYO
