Gym Wars television taping with both titles up for grabs A night dedicated to the victims and heroes of 9/11/01
By Joseph Duncan
Monday, September 12, 2010 5:24 AM PDT HAYWARD, CA (APW) – Once again, All Pro Wrestling brings an exciting night of professional wrestling action to the historic APW Garage, and just like last month, both the World Wide Internet and APW Universal Heavyweight titles were on the line. However, the date of this event marks the nine year anniversary of the 9/11 attack, and this event was dedicated to those who were lost on that day, with the ring sporting red, white and blue ropes.
Mr. Wrestling #4, the new World Wide Internet Champion, took on his old nemesis and former Internet Champ, Timothy Thatcher. Jeckles The Jester went to battle with Larry Blackwell in a match that may determine a challenger for the Universal Heavyweight title in the near future. Former APW Tag-Team Champion AJ Kirsch made an appearance in The Garage. In the main event, “The Boss” Derek Sanders defended his APW Universal Heavyweight title against a young man in which he has a bit of history with, “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson. All this, and so much more as we get set for the upcoming Halloween Hell XIII, here now are the results from the September edition of APW Gym Wars! Opening Tag-Team Match The Reno SCUM

Larry Blackwell w/ Matthew Theall This match between two former Universal Heavyweight Champions came to an unusual ending when Blackwell was disqualified after APW Head of Security Tina Turtle interfered, attacking an unsuspecting Jeckles. Tina and Blackwell then restrained Jeckles, allowing Corvus to make his way into the ring. Corvus spoke of searching the world of darkness, and realizing that Jeckles is regarded as one of the most powerful and feared beings in the underworld. Corvus then stated that he was going to set the “dark soul” of Jeckles free. However, before he could take any action, OMEGA came down and rescued Jeckles. This did not come without a price though, as Corvus sprayed a green mist into the face of the once-masked OMEGA. Corvus, Blackwell and Tina then left the ringside area, leaving a stunned APW Garage audience... including Blackwell's own manager, Matthew Theall, who kept asking what was going on, and why he was never notified about this plan.

Eventually, Thatcher lost the title to Dave Dutra. Last month, Mr. Wrestling #4 took the Internet title from Dutra. Now, these two meet again, but the tables have indeed turned, as Mr. Wrestling #4 hit the Million Dollar Kneelift to get the pin and retain his title. Is this the beginning of another epic series?

Mr. Wrestling #4 Main Event
Singles Match
APW Universal Heavyweight Championship
“Big Country”
Jody Kristofferson
-vs.- APW Universal Heavyweight Champion “The Boss”
Derek Sanders w/ Will Rood These two squared off three times last year, with Sanders using underhanded tactics to win at Halloween Hell XII and at November Gym Wars, before Kristofferson finally spearing Sanders at Kristmas Kaos 2009. Jody Kristofferson defeated Derek Sanders again during the 2010 APW Super Summer Series, so these two know each other very well inside the ring. On this night, it would be Sanders winning by Disqualification to retain his Universal title. Referee Sparkey Ballard was momentarily taken out of the action, and after being ordered by “The Boss”, Will Rood tried to slide the title belt in to Sanders for him to use as a weapon, but it went underneath the legs of the Champ and into the hands of Kristofferson. However, when referee Ballard came to, he saw Kristofferson holding the belt, and he called for the DQ.
After the match, Sanders ordered Rood to assault Kristofferson. An initially hesitant Rood did as ordered, and then under order from “The Boss”, Rood held Jody up for Sanders to assault with the title belt. However, Rood shoved Kristofferson away, and was himself hit with the title belt. Sanders began screaming at Rood, but then turned around to be hit with a Spear from “Big Country”.
Match Time: 14:31
Winner as a result of a Disqualification and
still APW Universal Heavyweight Champion :

Derek Sanders
