DJ Rhythm Turns Humor Into Healing With New Single “They Said I Need Help”

[Tampa Mystic]

Independent music artist DJ Rhythm is bringing humor, personality, and positive energy to the music scene with his latest single, “They Said I Need Help.” The upbeat track takes a lighthearted approach to everyday conversations about mental health, transforming a personal joke into a relatable musical experience designed to get listeners moving.

Originally from McFarland, California, and now residing in Porterville, DJ Rhythm is embracing a creative journey that began nearly two decades ago. His interest in recording music dates back approximately 18 years, when he received a beat from O Double in Bakersfield, California. However, family obligations and professional responsibilities temporarily placed those ambitions on hold.

Now, with the accessibility of modern music production technology and AI-assisted tools, DJ Rhythm is finally returning to his passion and bringing his creative ideas to life.

“They Said I Need Help” was inspired by the playful responses DJ Rhythm would jokingly make whenever mental health became a topic of conversation. What began as casual humor eventually developed into the foundation for a song that combines entertainment with a deeper appreciation for emotional well-being.

Rather than approaching the subject with seriousness, DJ Rhythm wanted to create something fun, energetic, and relatable. He believes dancing, laughter, and music can offer valuable opportunities to release stress and temporarily escape life's pressures.

For DJ Rhythm, creating music has also become a therapeutic experience. It allows him to process emotions, express thoughts, and explore feelings that might otherwise remain unspoken.

Maintaining anonymity due to his career in law enforcement, DJ Rhythm has chosen to let his music represent his identity. As he continues exploring different genres, “They Said I Need Help” highlights his growing confidence as an independent creator.
